“Turtle Power”: AP Reports McCain Owns 22 Pets, Including A Pair of Turtles Named “Cuff” and “Link”
Can “Turtle Power” take you all the way to the White House? Senator John McCain may think so, according to the Associated Press.On Sunday, April 29, the AP reported that:“John McCain has pets, does he ever. At last count, 22 of them, including turtles Cuff and Link.”
Campaignia’s Note: The fact that Senator McCain named his pair of turtles ”Cuff” and “Link” are an homage to the 1976 film Rocky, in which the title character names his pair of pet turtles “Cuff” and “Link”. ”Cuff” and “Link” also appeared in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa, the sixth in the series.
Unfortunately, the AP article did not elaborate on the other 20 pets, as to whether they are dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, etc.
