National Journal ranks McCain #4, argues that McCain should significantly contest Iowa

The National Journal offers the following argument - namely, that Senator McCain should significantly contest Iowa.  It also shares its opinion that McCain ranks #4 among GOP candidates.  The text of its analysis:

4.   John McCain

He seems happy and contented when he’s in New Hampshire and testy everywhere else.  His stubborn 16% in national polls is nice, but he won’t rise in these rankings until he regains a solid second place in New Hampshire.  And he needs to get serious about Iowa.  Any success in New Hampshire will get written off if it doesn’t also come with success somewhere else, and Iowa is a place where no one expects much from him - a perfect expectations bar, frankly.
