Pro-McCain Independents Key to Victory on Tuesday - The Official Campaign’s NH Independents for McCain Coalition

We fully recognize that independents are going to be the difference between a victory for Senator McCain or a victory for Mitt on Tuesday. Accordingly, it seems only fitting that the official campaign’s Coalition of New Hampshire Independents for McCain be acknowledged - and asked to do their utmost in the Granite State to turn out pro-McCain voters. Here’s the official release from the McCain NH press office on December 17, 2007:
MANCHESTER, NH – U.S. Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign today launched the New Hampshire Independents for McCain coalition. The group will work to mobilize independent voters for John McCain and grow the campaign’s strong grassroots organization in the Granite State.
“New Hampshire independents admire John McCain’s character, judgment and long record of putting principle over politics,” said David Lee, Co-Chair of New Hampshire Independents for McCain. “John McCain’s lifetime of service and sacrifice gives him unmatched credibility on national security issues and the unique ability to restore trust in our nation’s leadership. Only John McCain can unify our country to confront head-on the tough challenges we face both at home and abroad. These characteristics – needed now more than ever before – are what drew independents to John McCain in 2000 and will again push him to victory in 2008.”
John McCain thanked the coalition members for their support, stating, “I am grateful to have the support of so many independent-minded voters, and I look forward to continuing to reach out to all voters as we near Election Day in New Hampshire.”
