Election Night HQ

Senator John McCain’s presidential candidacy is the focus of this new-media site.  It is dedicated to providing resources and information about McCain’s campaign, through a variety of methods.  One is the official campaign, which sends out press releases, statements, fund-raising, e-mails, and the like; another is the “free media” thoughts and commentary of third parties.  Finally, there are the thoughts and analyses offered by the site’s publisher.

In case you haven’t read the page titled, “About Election Night HQ”, the following bears repeating:

This site, at this time, is dedicated to the coverage of Senator John McCain’s presidential candidacy.  It is an independent site, and seeks to analyze all aspects of the campaign, ranging from speeches to fund-raising to debates (as well as countless other aspects, the list of which is too vast to enumerate here). 

Of course, the publisher of this site finds a great deal to admire in Senator McCain’s candidacy.  That having been said, it does not mean that I agree with all of his positions on issues, or that I find all of his characteristics and personality traits to be praiseworthy.  I don’t.  One will very rarely find a politician with no shortcomings, or no positions with which one disagrees.

As you can see by reading the site, the opinions expressed are entirely those of the publisher, and come with all of the limitations of being one person.  If you like Senator McCain and you’d like to learn more about his campaign, then you’ve come to the right place. 

For that matter, even if you hate Senator McCain and/or his candidacy, hopefully you might find the site to be interesting to read, at least.  And at best, you might find that this site is offering some insightful material (whether the material is by other authors or the publisher) about politics and the 2008 campaign in particular.  Certainly, you’re going to find stuff here, that you won’t find at the official McCain site.
