Top McCain Web Logs
This is simply a title page, with some criteria explaining why certain pro-McCain new media (a much more euphonious term than “blog”, although since “new media” couldn’t fit into the menu box, Campaignia was forced to use “web log” as the title of this page) are included beneath this menu box as ranking among the Top McCain Web Logs.
There are many pro-McCain new media sites out there. However, obviously, some of them are clearly better than others. Here are the criteria used by Campaignia in determining which ones rank among the best:
1) Frequency of updates.
Politics changes very quickly, and if a new media site hasn’t been updated in several weeks, it’s really not of much value to the student of the McCain campaign.
2) Quality of content.
It’s not just how frequently you post; it’s how good it is, too. Does it often link to other new-media sites and/or mainstream media (MSM) stories, thus bringing more information into the Campaignia/Exploring McCainia community? Or does it consist of merely ranting and raving about liberals, Democrats, the MSM, or other perceived villains?
3) Originality of content.
The best new-media stories are the ones where the publisher states his/her own opinion/thoughts/observations on the issues of the day with honesty and unique points of view.
4) Presentation.
Granted, this is superficial, but this is the study of politics, after all, and
appearances do mean something. If a new-media site looks horrible, it might have the most insightful commentary in the world, but it won’t attract much traffic.
If your pro-McCain new-media site is not currently listed among the Top McCain Blogs, just send an e-mail to media@campaignia.org, and present your case for why you should be included. Also, Campaignia would be happy to cite specific areas, which if upgraded, would vault your new-media site onto the elite list.
